Kiln & Mandala is the shared overseas storefront of two companies based in Lushunkou, Dalian. One imports and sells Japanese Bizen-Yaki. The other designs and manufactures original Himalayan mandala home textiles. Different materials, identical attitude to making things properly.

Deming sources Bizen-Yaki directly from workshops in and around Inbe, Okayama, and handles export, documentation and worldwide shipping. Because every kiln load is different, our stock list is genuinely unique — when a piece is sold, the listing is retired rather than restocked.

Tanchenki — Himalayan Mandala Home Art
Dalian Tanchenki Cultural & Creative Co., Ltd.
Tanchenki is a design and manufacturing studio. We research Himalayan mandala and thangka iconography, produce original artwork in-house, and print, foil, cut and finish every cover ourselves. All designs are independently copyrighted and available for wholesale, private label and OEM.

These four words are printed on the wall of the Bizen office. They also happen to describe how we would like to be treated as customers.
Freedom
Nobody is told what to make. Our potters and designers work to their own judgement, and we sell what they decide is finished.
Equality
A first-time buyer of a single cup receives the same photographs, the same answers and the same packing care as a wholesale account.
Sincerity
We describe flaws. Wood-fired ware has grit, warp and firing marks; we photograph them rather than hide them.
Kindness
Slow replies are our only real failure mode, so we publish one number, staff it twelve hours a day, and answer it ourselves.
